Southern California Flooding

January 25, 2010, Long Beach, CA – An intense series of winter storms brought widespread flooding, huge waves and evacuations throughout Southern California this week.  Har-Bro Emergency Services and Restoration has been working around the clock on the more than 150 jobs that were called within the first 72 hours.   A flooded senior care center, a roof collapse at a retail store, and flooding at a hospital are just a sampling of the calls that Har-Bro has responded to during this dramatic weather event.

By utilizing multiple resources from their satellite offices and other means, Har-Bro has been able to muster the crews and equipment needed for this significant emergency response.

Har-Bro President, Jim Franklin adds “with the large scale of damage that we saw locally it was imperative that we properly allocate the Har-Bro infrastructure and technical resources to properly service all those effective by this storm.”

In addition to the clean up, water extraction and dry-down services necessary, the crews have been providing flooded properties with preventative services such as placement of more than 5000 sand bags, numerous roof cover ups and emergency weather proofing.

Har-Bro is a full service mitigation, and reconstruction provider for properties damaged by water, fire, flood and other disasters.  They have been leading the industry since 1961 with offices throughout the West Coast in Southern and Northern CA, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix and Las Vegas.  For more information on handling property damage or to learn more about Har-Bro, you can visit www.harbro.com or by calling (800) 266-5677.
