Hotel Explosion – Har-Bro Provided Emergency Dry Down

San Diego, CA – A natural gas explosion caused tremendous damage to a hotel that was currently under construction. Fortunately, there was nobody hurt from the explosion. The general contractor for the hotel called upon Har-Bro to provide emergency reconstruction services to perform the drying from the water used after the explosion.

Immediately, Har-Bro was on-site with personnel and equipment to stabilize the building and to establish 24 hour site security.

The blast damage to the building challenged traditional drying techniques due to the humidity and waterfront location. Har-Bro used state if the art dry down equioment and strategies to limit water damage and also managed to save the escalators and elevator shafts. In total, six floors had to be dried down to prevent mold growth and to allow the reconstruction to begin.
