Har-Bro Boosts Successful Back-to-School Supply Drive

Los Angeles – Going back to school this fall was easier than ever for hundreds of Los Angeles kids, thanks to a back-to-school supply drive organized by BOMA/GLA, the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater Los Angeles, with support from local restoration and reconstruction company, Har-Bro.

From back packs to calculators and flash cards to scissors, Har-Bro participated in this event, organized by the Long Beach/South Bay Region of BOMA/GLA, to support ChildNet, which provides a variety of services and assistance for area children. Supplies were collected from Aug. 16-Oct. 4, then 35 Har-Bro volunteers sorted the collection at the company’s corporate headquarters and donated everything to ChildNet.

“Our employees were really passionate about helping local kids, and we really enjoyed being a part of a terrific effort to help ChildNet and the families it serves,” said Christina Franklin, Account Manager for Har-Bro. “It was amazing to see the boxes so full of so many essential school supplies, not to mention so many volunteers committed to this effort.”

BOMA-GLA plans to host another back-to-school drive next fall; Har-Bro employees and offices also participate in a variety of additional local volunteering and fundraising efforts.
